With festival Travelling Light, eight underground initiatives from all over town join forces. On August 10 + 11 2024, we celebrate the universal language of cinema in two days of film at Fort aan de Klop. Let us take you on a trip around the world on screen. Be stirred by an eclectic mix of stories and styles; we cross borders, go sad and see monstrous creatures. We shine our lights on the more underexposed films. Drink, watch and talk film until the sun has long set, and…stay the night if you like.
PROGRAMME
Travelling Light is a collab of Opgedoekt together with: Kult Kino, Cappukino, Buitenbioscoop Utrecht, Queer Film Festival Utrecht, De Utrechtse Boekenbar, Brommerbios (by RAUM) and Cult Noir (by café Domkop). Each partner handpicked a film for Travelling Light and will provide a short introduction to each screening. Expect a mix of genres and countries and films you hadn’t discovered before. We keep our film titles a secret until the very last moment!
We welcome you to come and explore:

From there on the weekend’s program drifts between Hymer, Hobby and around the terrain where a mix of film screenings and fun side-programming takes place. When darkness hits, we’ll end the last films of Saturday in open air. In case of bad weather, the inside locations will be available for shelter and continuation of the program.
